From my perspective - Palin is the one who looks petty and stupid (surprise!). I don't think Letterman is really taking a hit here.
That speaks to my point. No matter what Letterman did, Palin's supporters would think she won and most of Letterman's supporters would think he won. That's the untold tragedy of King's life--he desperately wanted to be a lyricist. In fact, that's the tragedy of the life of Don King, as well... and Larry King.
