GREG!!

Post by GregScott »

I'd like to think I can live up to the two exclamation points I put in the topic line. I graduated from college in May and up and moved to Austin. I've been doing improv arguably all my life. I started a troupe my freshman year of college and persisted to rehears three times a week for four years. Last summer I interned with WIT (Washington Improv Theatre) and took Lvl 2 and 3. Anyone here know Topher and Mark? Last January I got to do intensives with Second City and IO in Chicago. I'm looking to play as much as possible. Have a class I can join in on or just sit in and watch I'll be there. A rehearsal I can check out let me know. A troupe auditioning or a show looking for one more please please please keep me posted.

I'm also, as of writing this, woefully unemployed. I've now got a BA in theatre from Austin College and am a formally trained actor who wouldn't mind auditioning somewhere or just working a box office. I also have a degree in Influences of Media on America and lots of marketing intern experience. Leads? I'll follow 'em.

This was much more long-winded and self serving than I had originally intended.

I guess you could argue that we've all been doing improv all our lives.

Welcome Greg. Everyone here is pretty great. I'll welcome you over to the ColdTowne Theater and we'd be happy to have you come over and get involved. But there are also other opportunities all over.

See you soon.

Hi Greg! Welcome! I love it when actor's do improv, cuz that's my story too. Only now I don't do any acting. I tried to refresh my acting chops with a scene study class a few months back and remembered why it is I prefer improv. So improv it is!

Welcome to the friendliest little improv community I've ever encountered.

Hullo, Greg!

Welcome, welcome... I'm a formal thee-yah-tah background person, too, by way of opera. But now spicing it up with the improv as well. Hope to see you around and about!

Welcome Greg.

Question: In your avatar, are you listening to an instructional tape on how to grow a fake moustache into a full beard? Because I have learned you can just tape a whole bunch of fake moustaches around your face and no one can tell the difference.

I'm on my way to seeing Topher and Mark right now for the Washington DC Air Sex Championship. I'm also teaching at WIT this August! Let's gossip.
