Stool Pigeon :: Charlie Hodge

Join our esteemed guest and impresario to the homeless as he shares stories from his perch on the big rock candy mountain while the world-class super-players of Coldtowne Theater (in hot pursuit of high art) interpret his stories with masterful, dos equisin' improvisational comedy. Wha ?? It's STOOL PIGEON, y'all, *the* comedy event of the week this week at Coldtowne Theater.

Stool Pigeon, our weekly special guest monologist show, happens every Saturday at 8pm. Every week, we have someone from the community come and tell true stories from their life, and some of Austin's (nay, America's) finest comedy talent use those stories as inspiration for improv comedy scenes. Advance Tickets for all Coldtowne shows are available here :: http://coldtownetheater.frontgatetickets.com

Charlie Hodge is a deejay on KLBJ 93.7FM.

The sperm part of Charlie Hodge infiltrated the egg part of Charlie Hodge in 1976, he came to gasp his first breath of air in Austin, Texas at Seton hospital. Before the incident, Charlie lived a bland existence as a mid-level vanilla extract purity taster at the Adam's Extract Inc. factory, people described him as a guy that "didn't make much of an impression" and "was hard to look directly at."

All that changed one day while on vacation alone at Disney World, a giant tea cup from the giant tea cup ride broke free from its bolts and came to land on Charlie, crushing his bones from head to toe and leaving him in a coma. While he slept, his damaged brain raced with thoughts and memories of The Johnny Carson Show, Saved By The Bell and Real Sex (episodes 1-57), so much so that Charlie actually willed his shattered face to heal in the image of Zack Morris. In 1999 Charlie Hodge emerged from his coma as a damned good looking man with a new sense of humor and an unquenchable desire to entertain.

It was off to Los Angeles to entertain the masses, but due to the aforementioned brain damage he just walked in circles for 30 minutes and then assumed he was in L.A. The Dudley and Bob Show snapped up this young talent and turned him into a C- celebrity from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Here's your reward for reading this entire post :: there will be free beer at this event. Enjoy.
