Online screening of TJ & Dave movie

Hey guys,

As you may have heard, TRUST US THIS IS ALL MADE UP, a documentary/live performance film of the acclaimed improv duo TJ & Dave has been hitting the festival circuit. There is a test screening scheduled to air online that will hopefully result in a DVD release. We are excited about this as we have special plans for the DVD extras including audio commentary from the two performers and the director, Alex Karpovsky, a bonus hour-long performance, and exclusive footage of a Q&A session recorded at the film’s World Premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

If you are interested in being a part of this one-time limited capacity screening, please send your name, email and city to yesandasaf[bat]gmail[bot]com.

We are looking for 10-15 viewers in each targeted city who can commit to the ENTIRE process (pre-film survey, film, post-film questionnaire) as this will help us secure a distributor for the film.

On Tuesday, all registrants will e-mailed a link to a short pre-film survey. At the end of the survey will be a password which will enable a viewing of the film online (running time: 80 minutes) after which will be a short post-film questionnaire. The link will be open for up to 72 hours, but because of limited capacity, it is highly advised to not wait too long as you may be shut out.

Their performances of entirely improvised, character-driven, often hilarious and wholly original one-hour plays have mesmerized audiences worldwide.

Exploring the folds of faith that underlie their relationship and the transcendental forces that govern their improvisation, TRUST US, THIS IS ALL MADE UP features an unforgettable live performance recorded at New York's Barrow Street Theater.

Whether you're a student of improvisation or simply interested in the underpinnings of human imagination and the depths of mutual understanding, this journey will leave you laughing, guessing, and in awe of this altogether remarkable feat.

"Even as its title suggests a playful ambiguity, "Trust Us, This Is All Made Up" finds indie auteur Alex Karpovsky ("Woodpecker") moving assuredly from mock documentaries to the real thing with a concert film-cum-biography of Second City-schooled performance artists David Pasquesi and TJ Jagodowski, billed as TJ & Dave. Karpovsky, a funny actor himself in Andrew Bujalski's recent "Beeswax," does for comedic improvisation what "The Aristocrats" did for the dirty joke: He offers a loosely sociological study of the form while milking the material for sizable laughs.
