POSITION TITLE: Web Content Specialist
CLOSING DATE: July 7, 2006 - 1:00 p.m. CST
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $34,126 - $37,872 annually, plus excellent benefits

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Develops content on the State Bar of Texas website (TexasBar.com). Works to optimize site architecture so that it meets the needs of the State Bar’s core audiences (attorney members and the public). Analyzes site traffic and directs search engine optimization and search engine marketing efforts.

Could you tell me more about the specific job responsibilities - specifically, is this a coding and programming job? I could do SEO but I'm not so sure I could do "site archetecture" if they're talking about designing new sections of the site. If I'm qualified, I'd apply; but I don't want to interview for a job (and eat the cost of a plane ticket) for a job I'm not qualified for.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Writes, plans, and edits website content. Posts content using the website content management system.
Works to test and optimize site architecture to ensure that website audiences find information quickly and easily.
Analyzes website traffic and conversion rates, and directs search engine marketing and optimization efforts based on this analysis.
Performs educational outreach for TexasBar.com and other State Bar websites. This will include traveling and speaking to local bar associations, law students, private law firms, and other interested groups. This will also require developing and updating PowerPoint materials and other promotional and instructional materials regarding the website.
Helps with the development and planning of new features for TexasBar.com, as needed completed files to publisher.
Provides email and phone support for TexasBar.com users.
Performs other responsibilities as required.

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of three years’ experience in Web development and programming in HTML. Must have knowledge of Internet content management systems and web applications such as Dreamweaver and Fireworks. Must have knowledge of web traffic analysis and search engine marketing and optimization techniques. Must have creative writing and editing skills. Teaching and public speaking experience preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing, via phone, and in person. Some travel required
