Did You Know...

Post by madeline »

Your body contains so much iron that you could make a spike out of it,
and that spike would be strong enough to hold you up.

It's true. It's fun! It's a fact!

I must stay away from Magneto.

You work your life away and what do they give?

Did you know that you're average body age is around 15.5 years? Most body parts are replaced entirely as cells age, divide, and die. A few parts stay with you for life, such as the visual and cerebral cortexes, but some parts are made new every few days (5 days for gut lining). Your entire skeletal system is replaced about once every 10 years, your outer layer of skin about every 10 days! Your red blood cells only last for 120 days and your intercostal muscles take about 15.1 years to totally be replaced (I'm going into my third set!)

"Did you know that your body gains approximately 100 pounds every time you eat? And that during the time in between meals, your cells go to work to break down all that excess poundage so that by the time you eat again, you weigh around 50 pounds less than your normal weight?"

that's kazillionaire* science and it works.

seeing as my body is made entirely out of quicksilver, sulfur, and salt, I've decided to start eating lots of mercury-poisoned fish.

I was just thinking I was low on iron. I probably only have enough iron to make a mere nugget, not a whole spike.

Now, can that spike hold you up once your weight in iron has been subtracted out? Or is that your body with your iron weight still included, which weight has presuamably been replaced by, say, cream cheese?
