Maybe if there is a funny/silly post, and you want to post something serious, just start a new thread (or not, and people can deal.)
I did take exception to the comment by Kathy about anger disguised as humor, which I think was directed at me. My posts did not come from a place of anger, but I can see how someone could think that. I guess there can be a thin line between "gritty realism" and "anger"
It sounds like you broke some new ground and that things ended up pretty well for you. I also have been in similar types of situations to what you described and have seen and known many women over a number of years in different situations and was trying to express some of that.
Too bad this parade got rained on because I, at least, was having fun.
