Improvised Shakespeare, part II: The Tamer Tamed

Post by acrouch »

We're bringing back Improvised Shakespeare at the Hideout Theatre in May and June, Saturday nights at 8pm. This was my favorite run last year, and I'm excited to get another crack at it.

If you're interested in getting involved, we'll need players, tech and fun people to hang around and make dorky Shakespeare jokes. PM or email me, or voice your enthusiasm here.

We'll be having an initial informational meeting/rehearsal on next Wednesday, April 1 8-10pm. That first meeting will be open to anyone and everyone that wants to come out. After that, we'll finalize the cast and crew and bang out four Wednesday rehearsals before we start performing in May. Realistically, the cast will probably be mostly people that performed in the show last year, with a couple of spots for new improvisers and a couple of guest performers.

there has been controversy about whether or not Andy Crouch improvises his own Shakespeare

I am buffing my codpiece right now.

On an unrelated note, I am excited about the return of Improvised Shakespeare.
