General details about new positions here.
About the treasurer position from current secretary, myself, Kristin Firth:
I think the term "information organizer" describes this role better than "secretary". My role has been most heavily involved in the general meetings, scheduling them, keeping notes (meeting minutes) during the meetings, and posting them. I keep track of results of votes and monitor the aicvotes gmail account for online voting (open for one week for folks who can't attend meetings and vote there) on AIC matters.
I also tend to be the person who understands most of the rules and procedures we have voted on and setup over the years, so I try to keep all of our AIC actions legal and by the book. One things I haven't done is create one document with all these rules, and that might be a good transition activity between me and the new person filling the role. Together we can shape one document of collected information, and maybe get that voted on to ensure its validity.
So the amount of work required is not that large for this position. If you can type fast enough to take notes, and have an attention for details to keep track of the process then that's all that's really required. Please ask here or email/PM me with any questions.
