March AIC general meeting - Sunday March 8 - 2pm

Post by kristin »

Sunday, March 8
2-4pm
Whole Foods (inside, upstairs eating area)

There's a proposal that Mike McGill and Asaf have been working on, with proposals from others and feedback at the "restructuring" meetings we've been having. It involves how to manage the changes of working with the city funding we received while stepping out of a weekly producer role (for the threefer, double barrel, and cagematch, which has already happened). It also involves what the future roles of the AIC organization will be.

So if you want to see the AIC-as-an-organization changes or talk some about about them come on out. We'll do a vote at the meeting on the proposal then it will be up for a week online with ability to vote by email.

Simultaneously, a few of us our stepping down from our management roles. So we will be looking for leaders to step up to help run this newly structured AIC. We will be looking for candidates over the next month and voting on new positions at the April meeting. If you think you might be interested coming to the March meeting would be a great idea to help you get a feel for some of the roles and how you could contribute.

Hope to see you there.

It was actually a lot of people who volunteered back in October to work on this over the subsequent months and in numerous follow up meetings and messages:

Kristin Firth, Michael Jastroch, Matt Pollock, Roy Janik, Kaci Beeler, Shannon McCormick, Shana Merlin, Shawn Leventhal, Valerie Ward, Andy Crouch, Jessica Arjet, Asaf Ronen and Michael McGill

I think we got a good swath of the community to give input and we're all pretty happy with the results.

I will be stepping down - so if anyone is interested in being treasurer for the AIC - please grab me / PM me and I'll tell you more about what's involved.
