Advertising Committee meeting this week - Tuesday @ 6:30

Post by Wesley »

As per the discussion during Sunday's General Body meeting, we will have an advertising meeting this week. It will be Tuesday at 6:30 and will take place at the Hideout. We'll meet in the upstairs theater and aim to be done by 7:45 so that people can join the jam or go out to Jay's series of going away dinners or get to the Space for Throwback Game Night.

I'm sorry for the short notice, but I hope you can make it (or comment on here if you cannot but want to be heard).

Our tentative agenda items are:
1. Summer camp advertising
2. Flyering initiatives
3. Paper/magzine/radio ads (getting rates)
4. Playbills
5. Show branding and advertising by slot
6. Raising awareness of the AIC brand
7. Review free ticket initiative (howmany have come back to us and who from? Is the box asking where people got them?)
8. Discuss other advertising initiatives/business
9. Discuss new meeting format and best times
10. Asign action items and responsibilities

That covers the high points. Anything I'm missing or that you would like to discuss?

Let me know who can make it.
"I do."

if we do this, we have to be sure that we're not going to change our show times or names 3 months from now. i am not against this initiative, i just want to make sure we're ready to put the time and money into this. i'm sure you'll discuss this tomorrow but i wanted to bring it up since i won't be there.

The planets have mysteriously aligned and Erika cancelled Whirled News Rehearsal for this week, so I can make the Advertising Meeting. Hooray!

I'll be at The Space. But, a reminder:
Bring me your flyers and I'll spread them around tomorrow morning/afternoon. Got it?
I'll be at The Space all night.

Thank you to those of you that came out or otherwise contacted me with information and suggestions.

It was a small meeting, but productive, and we may have a follow-up meeting in a few weeks to flesh out some of the ideas.

I'll type up the notes and put them in the AIC Marketing section by the end of lunch I hope.
