Beginning Improvisational Theater covers the basics of improvisation and improvisational storytelling. It teaches you the language of the artform and helps build the basic skills of character, relationship, and freeplay that one needs to move on to more advanced classes and on-stage performance opportunities.
All are welcome, but the class is especially geared toward those with between 0 and less than 6 months experience in improv, and to those with other types of performance under their belt (such as acting) looking to branch out and learn about a new tool for their performance tool belt.
And how can you beat the price in this economy!
Six 3-hour classes for only $80 bucks!! Only $68 for UT students and faculty!!
This is a great, affordable way to get into improvisational theater!
Plus, it makes a great Holiday gift for a loved one!
(Give the gift of learning--of life experience--this year!)
The class is Saturdays from 1 to 4 starting Jan. 31st to March 7th. The room is not yet finalized, but will most likely be on or near the UT campus.
