Tuesday Night Jam - 11/18/08
TUESDAY NIGHT JAM TIME!
When: Tuesday Night, 7-10 pm
Where: Hideout Theater (617 Congress Ave), upstairs
How much: Free as a $5 hooker (when you have a hooker coupon good for $5 off)
By popular demand we will work on mime/space work and its cousin, the "naive" game.
I've got a lot of great spacework exercises we'll go through and then we'll look at the entire "class" of naive games, playing a number of individual games as well as looking at skills that come into play in virtually any naive game you find yourself in, if you've ever played it before or not.
Then, if we have time we'll do another Maestro Game of the Week, so give me some suggestions!
Then mock show time, where we'll bring in a lot of games with lots of spacework to practice what we've played with in the green room.
I also want to work on hosting work in the mock show portion, so for those of you who want to move up to directing and hosting shows in the future, let me know and we'll work in some time introducing, setting up games, and otherwise dealing with the "audience" in such a capacity (getting suggestions, calling for volunteers, etc).

Never give up. Never surrender.*
*Free Lone Star to the first jammer to tell me at the jam what movie that is from WITHOUT looking it up.
That was Tim Allen's line in "Galaxy Quest."
"By Grapthar's Hammer, I will avenge you!"
Just try it, Viking boy! I was raised on the original Star Trek series, can field strip a phaser in 9 seconds and poop fushigi no umi on command.Mike wrote:"By Grapthar's Hammer, I will avenge you!"
However, neither of us wins. Wesley said, "... first jammer to tell me at the jam ..." so there's a foot race involved as well, and I'm at a serious disadvantage in the track & field events.
