Hello from Abbas
Hey guys,
My name is Abbas and I took 4 classes with Shana in Merlin Works. She is the best teacher and a wonderful performer ( She did a solo scene with 7 characters in last Maestro, and it was an absolute 5).
Ok, It is my intro; As you might know by now, English is my second language. About 6 months ago I decided to go to an English class in Austin. Just to Extend my speaking and listening skills. Well, I didn't qualify for any English class, so I decided to do Improv! (jk, I actually could get into "English 101"!)
In the class, I learned a lot, had fun a lot( which was kind of unusual for a class), and found some good friends. It helped me to stop planning ahead and being more spantenous , to feel that it is ok to fail, to misunderstand or not-understand and even to be not-understood! you understand right?
My favorite shows are Maestro, GGG and Get up, and many other shows ( I'm very picky!) and most of the improvisers I met in Austin are fantasticly funny(I'm also very specific)
Cool, now you know me...
