Can anyone recommend a good non-fiction book about monks? of any stripe?

When it comes to NON-fiction, these are at the top of my reading list. I use them a lot in my work.

Thomas Merton's book about becoming a monk is supposed to be good.
The Seven Storey Mountain is the best known one. He wrote other books about monasticism, but I don't know them. I haven't read this, and while it's supposed to be a tough read, it's also considered a classic of the genre.
