IMPROV AND SKETCH CLASSES REGISTERING NOW
The ColdTowne Conservatory is Austin's premier long-form improv and sketch comedy training center. Our instructors, ColdTowne and the Frank Mills, have trained, taught and performed at some of the most respected comedy institutions in North America, including the Second City, Improv Olympic, the Annoyance and Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. One of our instructors was even voted "Best Improv Teacher 2007" by the Austin Improv Collective. That depth of experience and commitment translates to a comedy education that's second to none.
Improv builds confidence, improves public speaking, increases spontaneity, fosters creativity, and -- most importantly -- is fun. Whether you're interested in a career in comedy, looking to improve your audition skills or just looking for something entertaining to do with your free time, our classes can help. Our classes are based on the improv theories developed by Del Close, who trained such comedy luminaries as John Belushi, Bill Murray, Chris Farley, Tina Fey, the Upright Citizens Brigade, and countless others.
Our students have performed all over Austin, from Esther's Follies to the Alamo Drafthouse and Fun Fun Fun Fest. Several of our students have even landed roles in feature films, commercials, and on Friday Night Lights.
