Advertising Committee Meeting Dec. 13th

Post by Wesley »

Since only one answered the call for availability, I've been forced to pull a date out of the hat that is convenient for me. Quit yer bitchin', you had your chance.

December 13th 6:00-8:00 @ The Hideout
(Come for the meeting, stay for the jam)

Tentative Agenda items:
Go over new audience survey information (are these still being done? I haven't heard anything the last 2 weeks.)
Review recent advertising initiatives and action items
Discuss a beginning of semester advertising push
Separating trational and non-traditional committee roles and responsibilities now that efforts are up and moving
Distriubte Sausage Ball recipe for everyone's holiday parties

Just a reminder of this ^ meeting. Bee there or have no say in advertising initiatives that might affect you.

Out of Town Audience: What % ?

Post by smerlin »

Not this has a lot to do with this exact post, but I wanted to communicate to the Austin Improv Advertising Committee an interesting and non-scientific observation I've made.

In Shannon and I's show, we interview an audience member and base the show on their life. In 3 out of 3 interviews we have had, the people were from out of town. 2 from Kileen and 1 from Corpus.

I think that Andy has done something right in tapping in to the tourist market and I think a suprising amount of our audience might hail from out of town.

Maybe that's a new hosting/warmup question: By a round of applause, how many of you are from Austin/Out of Town?

Just something to keep in mind.

You improvise every day.
Why not get good at it?
