Midnight Society Presents: Pizza Party! This Thursday!

Post by nick »

THIS THURSDAY at 10p at ColdTowne Theater, Midnight Society, winner of last year's AIC award for Best New Improv Troupe, is putting up the very first of their monthly sketch revues. And like all great firsts -- from Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, to Virginia Dare, the first child born in the American colonies -- there will be a butt-load of free pizza on hand. Hence the name of their show, Pizza Party! Midnight Society's sketch show will happen every third Thursday, from now until they displease us, so check out Austin's hottest new comedy troupe while they're still hungry enough to offer up free food.

This show was at least 80 kinds of awesome, but one thing still bugs me: how did you not know about the accidental Bravia Commercial spoof you guys did for the intro?

"NOTHING BUT NET!!!"
"But that's just Professor Basketball!"

That was a great show. Hooray for well plotted, well executed skit shows. I highly suggest doing more of these as it was rad.

I just watched this.

I have to say, Spaz, I really thought you were exaggerating the similarities between our intro and this commercial.

Now I wish I HAD made it an intentional parody. I would feel much more clever, but I have never seen that commercial.
