Holy wow. I wish there were twenty-dollar tickets for "handrail-obstructed" airplane seats.

this was a big fat, flat disappointment. thanks to a work connection, we had 5th row $450 seats and it still stank up the joint. i don't know much about opera but mikey d, who does, was right there with me on the sucktitude. despite full frontal nudity and decent effects including a monkey puppet.

my first opera and it was no bueno. and some placido domingo guy conducted the orchestra, too. it was the script and direction that sucked up my balls into my chest. cronenberg good for film. not good for opera.

if live penis and a fucking monkey puppet can't save an opera, it is not to be saved in the first place.
