from youtube and other places?

i'd like to rip the AUDIO from youtube videos.

I'd like to download MP3s and convert them to stuff I can put on my computer.

Is it possible? Is there software? Hardware? Spatulas or spackle that will let a Mac user do this?

Is there a legal way?

For DVD and video ripping, I like to use handbrake.
