Opening Night

Post by sara farr »

... Was awesome!! Loved all three groups. Maria Bamford made me laugh until I was crying! I loved her characters... very uncanny the way she could switch so quickly. I kept expecting a cast of players to take a bow on stage at the end of the show. My favorite was the "geography lesson", but I also really liked the dark stuff ("Do you ever think about..."). Very fun! Whoop!

My favorite Bamford part was something like "It's impossible for me to change. I'm a gypsie. I'm a sea cow. Yeah, I know that if I stay here, the boats will hit me, but THIS IS WHERE I SWIM."

something like that.

My favorite part of the night, though, was just being a Casino el Camino, and seeing all the wonderful people. And David Ash, the world's greatest improv fan.

Jordan! that sucks so much. I hate to hear that. Good luck getting your stuff back. I would def file a report. I got my car broken into in January and they managed to at least find the person although he fled and I never got my stuff. You never know!!!

All of them were hilarious. At Casino's, I was debating something with others and claimed to get my knowledge from Fact magazine. Also, Bearden tells awesome fucking stories.

I liked her politician bullet points bit, but the one you quoted was my favorite bit she did. Awesome and layered.

Seconded. I loved getting to see and talk to so many people. And yes, David and Sophie are very cool people.

What a great way to kick off OOB - great job everyone!

Bearden was great and that final story was an awesome mix of the gruesome (I get all queasy about compound fractures and horrible injuries) and hilarious.

Lovey and Lovey - It was my first time seeing Tami and Jastroch in their Lovey incarnation and I love-love-loved it! A++++, would do business again!

Bamford was simply fantastic.

Bamford is my comedy crush, and last night only cemented it. Lovey and Lovey were just altogether fabulous. and Bearden's MCing was the glue of sweetness holding the awesome blocks together.

and thanks for the advice Jon...they only stole a few items and nothing that could be easily identifiable, so i don't even know if it'd be worth it. probably need to go ahead and cancel those checks though. :P

Well the ones on Flickr are only 72dpi web resolution. The ones I have (and will eventually burn to dvd) are 300dpi and can print like 18x24 or something like that.

I think both the AIC and OOB have Flickr Pro accounts, which means you can upload the gigantic 18x24 to the web for posterity. That way everyone can download them and print them at a super-high resolution. And we can use them for marketing print materials which is incredibly useful. Thanks so much for taking pictures.

Cool. I tried that and my internet bogged down and kept disconnecting. I can try. The only problem it's way slow and each file is 6MB. In any case, I'll burn some DVDs.

Are you using the Flickr Uploader program instead of uploading through the website? If not, that's the way to go. Easy peasy 1 2 3y http://www.flickr.com/tools/

The full 6meg versions might be overkill. I've been uploading my full rez jpgs and they're about 2 megs each.

The uploader tool makes it very easy. I recommend it.
