Greetings fellow AICers,

I’ve been in Austin for about 3 weeks now and, though I’ve met many of you, I thought it might be nice to do a big self intro on the forums here. Sorry if it’s long and boring, but that’s just who I am.

My name is Justin York. I’m the intimidatingly handsome new member of Coldtowne. I’m not actually new – I was in Coldtowne when we were back in New Orleans before the storms. The others evacuated to Austin. I went back to New Orleans to be with my family and other friends, and to try to make it work there. I struggled, got a crappy job selling gold and rare coins for investment and collection, and generally was spinning my wheels.

Arthur, Trew, Tami, and Jastroch came back to New Orleans over Mardi Gras and let me perform with them. I knew what was missing in my life and quickly caved into their peer pressure for me to move to Austin.

I have greatly enjoyed Austin so far. It took me about a half hour to fall in love with the city. The best part is the improv community. What you all have built here is quite impressive. I am honored to be a part of it. I’m very excited to play and work with the fun and talented people I’ve met and seen so far and the ones I have yet to see.

I see that there are many many projects going on in and outside the AIC. I’m a person who enjoys getting involved, so if there is anything I can do, feel free to ask.

We'll be throwing out all sorts of southern fried rap-battle improv on the Cagematch stage this Friday at 11:30.
