Show tickets for performers?
I looked around (in my email and here), so forgive me if this has been covered but what's the deal with OoB tickets and stuff for those in the festival? They're discounted, right? How do we go about getting the discounted tickets?
I was about to purchase a couple workshop tickets when I realized I hadn't picked up a pass for the actual festival shows yet.

If you are performing, you (or your group's contact person) should have been given a link to the super-special performer's page on the OOB site - full details are listed there.
The basic skinny is you can get a discounted upgrade on your performer badge to give you tickets to all the show blocks ($40 for all shows, $30 for all shows except the Sunday blocks at Esther's). If you don't choose to buy the upgraded pass, you can still use two comps for any show block except Sunday at Esther's, pending seat availability (i.e., there are only a limited number of seats held exclusively for performer/volunteer comps - if the show sells out, we may not be able to seat all the folks that want comps - I'll post the full policy later in the week, though this is nearly identical to what we did the past few years)

I thought it was something like that. Don't have the link. Contacted the producers and all should be rectified soon enough. Thanks, Matt.Matt wrote:If you are performing, you (or your group's contact person) should have been given a link to the super-special performer's page on the OOB site - full details are listed there.

link on the oob home page and the oob contact page in the upper right hand corner.
every performer qualifies for this seriously discounted pass. $30 for literally dozens of shows from groups all across the USA you've never seen. how can you turn that down?

this is not meant to be secret so tell everyone you know who is performing and confused on the ticketing system.

.
What happens if we volunteer and stuff, dudes? Any sort of discount then?
Volunteers earn themselves a free comp per slot worked - so if you wanted to, you could see half of the show blocks and work the other half, and not pay a dime.

Upgraded performer passes are just like regular festival passes - they guarantee you a seat if there is one available at the time you show up at the box office. If you show up to a very popular show two minutes before the show is set to begin, you may not be able to see the show.
We will hold seats for passholders until 10 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin, at which point ALL tickets (including seats set aside for passes and tickets bought online) will be released, and anyone may purchase them. There are always some number of people who don't show up for shows, this ensures that we don't turn away people while we have empty seats in the house.
Passholders and internet ticket buyers will have a special line during busy periods to ensure that they have ample time to pick up their tickets. This line will close ten minutes before show time, and they can then pick up their tickets in the main line if we have not already sold out.
Short answer - show up more than 15 minutes before the show if you have a pass (recommend 30 minutes before on a busy night), and you will be good to go.
Full post with box details is on the way.

HI. If we're local do we still get bags? My troupe performed last night. I have not heard or seen word of bags. I do not have my pass/badge or what have you. The sweet leaf tea was delicious.beardedlamb wrote:yes, your bag should have your performer pass and any upgrades you've made in addition to the t-shirt and whatever other free stuff groups give us to stick in there.
