Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

One thing I want to try this week that I didn't get to last week is Game-o-matic, or whatever it's called. We take a suggestion of a word, and using that word as inspiration, 3 improvisers each quickly come up with a new improv game. They each describe their game to the audience, and the audience votes on which one they want to see. Then we see it played out. Supposedly, this is done elsewhere in the country, and it's often used as to come up with new games that then become part of the regularly played fare. Also, it could end in disaster. Let's do it!

There's also been a serious lack of the best game ever, Slow Motion Olympics (I've played this game thrice, and never had the chance to commentate), and Half Life, unless those got played last week while I was out.

We'll definitely be playing this this weekend. I was just talking about that last night.

New game suggestion: "Point A to Point B"
The audience suggests two specific, unrelated locations. The players must begin in one and plausibly end in the other.

Foreigners are totally cool and count twice. Except Canadians because they might as well just be liberal Americans.

Californians count as one + an avocado. I don't get the north vs south Cali - Geese, I'm from Texas!

New game suggestion: "Git 'er done"
The audience suggests an ordinary, everyday task (such as washing the dishes, hanging a picture, paying the bills), which inspires the space work that begins the scene and serves as the inciting incident that reveals the characters' real objectives. The director may award a bonus point if the task is actually accomplished or accomplished in a memorable way.

As a born and raised Northern/Central Californian, I see your avocado and raise you an almond. Because the central valley has more nuts than you can shake a stick at (and not just of the plant variety).

Though I know an almond ranchers in Cali...I'm going to make myself a whole person (by Texas's standards) by being from NoCal with an artichoke.

New game suggestion: "The Expert"
Similar to the slow lie, but with two players. Audience suggests a skill that you would go to an expert to learn. Scene begins reasonably but is soon heightened by either the ridiculousness of the instruction or the motivations of the student and teacher.

Really sorry, didn't realize I was holding things up. Yes, I would love to play if there's still room.
I live in Austin now.
