New Tickets, Ticket-Taking, and Hosting Duty At The Hideout

Post by kbadr »

Attention:

If you're working box at The Hideout, please use the box of business card-sized tickets for improv shows. They say "admit one" on the front, and have a coupon for discounted classes on the back.

Because we are using these tickets, the audience will be encouraged to keep the tickets. As such, we need someone working the door to mark through the "admit one" side of the ticket, so they're not reused to get into shows. If there aren't enough people to cover door, please make the tech person turn on the house music and then cover door duty. You'll just need to strike through the Admit One side of the ticket with a sharpie or something.

And, finally, if you're the Host/MC for the evening, please draw attention to these class discount coupons. If you have one to hold up to show the audience from stage, that'd be sweet, too.

Does this apply for this weekend's LAFF shows as well?

Since LAFF was used to replace the normal weekend schedule at The Hideout, I'd say yes.

Shrewd marketing, those cards are.

I commend you on the choice.

Sir Janik had a hand in it as well.
Let's hope they help bring in some students.

This is a bump.

Friday and Saturday shows need to have someone taking tickets and striking through the Admit One side of the card. If you don't have someone to cover door, please have the booth person do it until they are needed to start the show.

Also, there is a framed sign in the green room that says when the next level 1 class at The Hideout starts. Please remember to mention the next class, and the discount coupon on the back of the tickets.

Thanks!

Kareem, do you mean the box person or the person in the tech booth?

ah, sorry for the confusion. The post above mine (the one you are quoting) still refers to the box person.
