I should probably say I'm torn between supporting UT's Longhorns (college team of hopefully future graduate program -- and current residence) or USC's Trojans (college team of my alma mater and football-brainwashed youth). Recently my good friends and UT season ticket holders finally took me to a UT game (1st or 2nd of this season) and what I noticed was -- the two teams have a lot in common. Bright uniforms (Orange & white; cardinal & gold), silly cheers (though the SoCal spellout is by far the silliest -- and therefore dearest -- cheer I've ever learned - plus it helped me learn how to spell c-a-l-i-f-o-r-n-i-a which I can now do even when I'm very drunk), both have bands that have to wear stupid uniforms (cowboys in fringe/ trojans with capes), both have feirce in-state rivalries (UT vs A&M; USC vs fUCLA), and BOTH brainwash their student body into crazy fans. I have to admitt, if I could afford it, I'd buy tickets and go to the Rose Bowl and cheer for both (though in my heart I would be secretely cheering for SoCal). So... FIGHT ON!! (holding up the two fingered "V is for victory" hand symbol)... oops, I mean... HOOK 'EM HORNS! (holding up the two fingered "longhorn" hand symbol).

Obsessions are...
01) [left blank for improv since I can't list improv]
02) Pixar movies
03) Frank Capra movies
04) Alfred Hitchcock movies
05) Robert Altman movies
06) George Lucas movies
07) Steven Speilberg movies
08) Jackie Chan movies
09) Ron Howard movies
10) Tim Burton movies
11) Nick Parks movies
12) Wes Anderson movies
13) P.T. Anderson movies
14) Charlie Kaufman movies

Well, I guess all my obessions pretty much have to do with movies, so I guess I could have just said "movies" and saved some time.

Actually, the Texas Fight Song is just people shouting "texas" and "fight" intermittently and then in the breakdown they spell out the state. t-e-x-a-s. so i guess usc and ut are really similar. i'm actually a closet reggie bush fan but i really want to see if the horns can shut him down after he wins the heisman tomorrow.
should be a real good game.

and phil, i don't think austin is the CAPTIAL of anything.
