i finally got around to starting my new column on the austinist, which will interview folks around town that people are crushing out on.

for my first interview, Clayton - the Hideout coffee guy - has generously agreed, but i will need input to find my next interview. i'd love to know who the members of the AIC community are crushed out on, as well as austin at large.

so, lemme know! you can send me either a reply to this post, private PM or email to my crush account austinist.erika(@)gmail.com .

(*for more details, you can read the intro post at http://www.austinist.com/archives/2006/ ... udette.php)

skanks lurvleys.

Crushing out on?

Like, "I have a crush on Susan cuz she's so bitchin' hot."

Or some other crush the news kids are spittin' out.

Why am I eighty years old...

yeah cj, like the "so bitchin hot" kinda crush.

my crush out email has already been hit with several interview requests from this post on austinist, and i am super pumped to get this biznass going.

i have requests in for "the girl in the cutoff shorts with the arm tattoo at el chilito" and "the hot yoga instructor named cary".

gonna be way fun....

holla!

If I have ever looked in your general direction and you are an improv gal, I have crushed on you at one point.

Luckily I remain crush free...at least as far as the media is concerned.

Do man crushes count? I have a crush on Wes. Don't tell him.

You work your life away and what do they give?

You are wasting your time. Wes doesn't even have a crush on Wes anymore.

The point of my crushes is to keep them hidden and locked away so that they never find out. Why, if a girl knew I had a crush on her, it might become a spark, and then what? Flames of passion consuming us both night and day? A burning inferno of love that will last a lifetime? Bliss? Happiness? Purpose? Like I need those hassles in my life.
What benefit do I get for making them public. If you can crack me, I'll sing like a canary.

Till then, I'm going to go get some shrimp toast and steamed rice.

That I am aware of at this waking moment, I have three crushes on improv ladies.

I have one platonic man crush.

I feel that there are two crushes I am on the opposite end of.

And, I've got my spine...
