Tuesday Night Jam - 5/27/08

Post by Wesley »

The Tuesday Night Jam is back for more!

This week we'll work heavily on long-form techniques (specifically tightening your 3-act story arc and various types of edits) and we'll see if we can work some form of long-form-esque thingy into the mock show portion!

7-10 pm upstairs at the Hideout Theater.

Free.

Bringing me brownie bites will curry favor. For what, I don't know.

There will be handouts provided I can find a period of time in which the work copier is unobserved.

REMEMBER LAST WEEK'S HOMEWORK!
1. Observe a stranger and practice mimicking them - their walk, posture, voice, pace, attitude, etc.
2. Go out and pretend to be a character in public for an hour. Nothing too over the top, just be different for a full hour. Stick it! (One great way to do it is to do a meal with friends. Stick one accent, posture, and attitude the entire meal).
"I do."

The Jam was slamming. Thanks so much to Wes. It was cool to do the games but talk about the purpose behind it and how the roles work. Really fun night.
