It's true. Another sleepless night (for Kaci, I slept), and the set, she is done:

Don't cry kids, Gentleman Blob will be okay, I just know it.

I escaped in just the nick of time, tiny tophat intact.

Kaci is incredible.

And thanks to Bob Apthorpe, these were all painted onto sturdy panels that we will be able to take down at the end of the run and reuse for the next season.

So Kaci will not have to go through all this again.

Awesome opening night, guys! Most un-politically correct comic book ever. And the set looked awesome.

Just heard our spot on KUT:

http://kut.org/items/show/12449

Check it out. And thanks to all that came and helped pack the house. Our audience tonight was super sweet.

Our heroes were Mistress Madness, Mariachi Man and Man Bear Pig.

And one the best suggestions that we did not get to use (we collect them on slips of paper before the show) was Acidic Jew.

The premiere felt great! Mad props guys & gals, especially for swinging that opening number.

Super sweet first show - I can't imagine how it could have been any better. We'll have to keep watching to find out, I guess...

And, so you know, the woman in the pictures is Kristin Hogan who was creating art while we were improvising, and her cover art was used as the inspiration for the team adventure.

amazing first show, you guys! very awesome retro Silver Agey vibe to everything.

also, very cool Chronicle article. I am no officially jealous of Asaf for having been compared to Dr. Strange. :P

(and someone should get on THAT artwork right away. )
