MIDNIGHT SPECIAL!!! april 18, 11:30pm

Hey everyone, Midnight Society is presenting Midnight Special, a variety show, at ColdTowne Theater on April 18th (third Friday) at 11:30pm for free.

It includes a set from Rat Girl, an improv set from Midnight Society, and a Gong Show style segment starring whoever wants to sign up. Each act gets 2 minutes. At 45 seconds, the audience has a chance to boo or cheer and the panel of judges decides whether the act gets gonged off.

We need people to sign up for this part! We only have 5 or 6 slots! There are really no rules for your time onstage. At the end, the panel of judges will pick a winner from the non-gonged acts and that winner will get a prize!

I would also like to add that during that gong show 2 minutes, you are welcome to do anything you wish. It is completely open-format and anything goes.

Hey! At the last minute I thought of what I wanted to do for the gong but due to feeling like shit I didn't do it. Do-due-do. Please tell me you'll be doing this again! Doing.

We are doing it again! Next month. The 16th of May, if I remember correctly. Here's a recap for those who missed the show:

Lee "Cody" Greenwood rescued us all
Jastroch did magic
Andrea Grimes sang like the mice in Babe

Chris Trew danced

Fred and Joel sang There Will Be Blood

Did I miss anyone? Thanks to everyone who participated in the gong show (no one was gonged), and to Rat Girl for coming through with an awesome performance. Also, big thanks to Spaz for running the tech booth all night and providing original music throughout the show. You should come back next month and do it again. So should all of you!

Hey MS,

Sorry I missed the "Special", but I LOVED your 8pm show. You are all smart and funny and a blast to watch.

Loved it from the suggestion taking, to the monologues, to the introduction of Mr. Mooney serving fighting lobster, to math genius being forced to socialize through the most dangerous game (NOT "Pitfall"), to the mother and daughter karate world champs, to the end where Mr. Mooney was making the Health Inspector fight his monkey! HA!
