I actually kinda like the name Phunk Shui. I guess I'm kinda lame, though
I definitely wouldn't pun off of your last name or even your stage name so much.
You could probably school us all on this, or at least your own personal take on it, but I believe that the humor and hipness of Nerdcore is something on to its own and not merely derivative of mainstream hip hop. As such...a name like 'Soulja O' Fortune' or something like that would not work because it's intended to be an ironic response to 1.)A mainstream hack like Soulja Boy 2.)A culture of glorified conspicous consumption 3.)A culture of faux-thuggery and 4.)A certain deliberate looseness with spelling and grammar.
Towards that end...do I have any real suggestions? Not at this time...though I do like the Magritte reference. It's not at all derivative.....that and it's pretty nerdy in it's own right
