House of Games: World's Worst

Post by acrouch »

Continuing the series of discussion threads that each cover a game or exercise or format as thoroughly as possible. Known origins, how it's played, variations, alternate names, tips on teaching it, what its value is, etc.

Today:

World's Worst

Improv Encyclopedia wrote:Not exactly theater, but fun if played well.

Players line up, and the audience provides verbs, hobbies and occupations. The players need to come up with the worst possible way of doing/being what the audience suggests.

I first saw this on who's line.

This is one of my favorite line games.

It's especially great when there are a few groaners each round.

This game is easier for me than 180...or whatver the number is.
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

Yeah, I like this better than pun games. With pun games I'm more encouraged to go sell the shit out of a bad pun, which gets stale after a couple of those.

Maybe I just like it more cause' you can act it, rather than say a line.
