This is a formal call for volunteers for a Fund Raising Committe for the AIC. We need creative, dedicated folks to help put together badass fund raisers that get the city excited about supporting improv in Austin.
Anyone interested?

I was the one who proposed this idea originally, and I've already compiled a lot of information about it. Although, right now isn't really the BEST time for the sort of major fundraiser we will be needing.
I am thinking that by late fall or winter we will be much more ready to pull of a decently-sized fundraising event that will be so good it will force people to donate money to Austin improv. Eventually (and ideally), the Hideout needs to have a list of donors like other theatres have.
OF course, this is all a bit dependent on us becoming an actual non-profit organization before we can pull off these sorts of fundraisers.
However, the point of this post is to say that I would be highly interested in heading up the committee to explore the possibility of future fundraisers. OR instead of creating a whole new committee for this (way too much bureaucracy!) we can just roll the whole fundraising idea into the Outreach Committee, which is co-chaired by Andy Crouch and I!
