Free Classes for Website Assistance!

Post by The Institution Theater »

I have the most pathetic website ever created and I need help! I would like to trade one of you young people that know how to create websites a free term of classes for assistance in setting up my website. You can take the Beginning Improv or Advanced Improv class. It’s up do you.

If you want to see how sad my website is, go to www.TheInstitutionTheatre.com and get ready to laugh. (For all the wrong reasons.) Please let me know if you are interested.

Hey, Tom, I would love to help you out. Unfortunately, I am you. And like you, I don't know dick about creating a website. Perhaps someone else could help you. I don't know. It just seem kind of sad that nobody replied to your posting. Good luck. I think that you're pretty kick ass!

And oddly enough, so am I. I was kinda hoping someone would respond to this as I need some advice, too.

same here. I have asked for this kind of help before and mostly I got the suggestion of using a template or getting a template and modifying the code. I have no clue how to do that and none of the templates that I looked at were remotely close to what I need (thus the suggestion to modify them).

I am rooting for you Tom!!!

Hey, Tom! (and anyone else)

"Farr Better Design" (I and my wonderful sister) can help you out... but we can only provide low tech solutions. If you want something fancy, you will need to recruit a full blown web development studio.

Here are some site's I've helped with...

http://www.theleadingbrands.com/
http://www.woodennickelimprov.com/
http://www.mkfarr.com/
http://getup.austinimprov.com/
http://ggg.austinimprov.com/
http://www.merlin-works.com/ -- just visuals here, along with some light "Flash" work... other stuff (php and such) was handled by other awesome people.

Call me to set up a meeting.

P.S. I know that Madeline Malka, Jason Vines, & Craig Koftas are also awesome designers who work for companies that might could help you out, if you need more power in your site. There's also Eric Heiberg & Marc Majcher, for heavy lifting back-end jobs. Don't know what these people charge, tho. This kind of work needs $$ to make it worth the effort.
