Troupe Payouts

Post by Miggy »

Hi everyone,
Your friendly AIC treasurer here. The board finally settled some of its paperwork issues with the bank account and we were able to start writing checks as of the last meeting. I distributed over $800 in troupe payments at that meeting but we didn't have representatives from every group there so I still have a considerable amount to release.

As many of you might remember, we are trying to move the AIC in the direction of a more legit artistic organization and away from the cash-in-envelope system. See, also, the old thread on this: http://forum.austinimprov.com/viewtopic.php?t=3360

Essentially, any entity earning more than $600 will get 1099s. The way of tracking this in advance is by having specific entity names or designated individuals with their respective Tax ID or Social Security number. This is the only way we can write a check to you.

If your troupe has not provided this information, please send it along to me at mpm167 "aht" gmail.com. It is stored in a password protected spreadsheet that is not shared. If you have your address, too, that would be great. I'd like to get to the point where I can just mail out these checks when they're ready rather than hand delivery at AIC meetings.

I currently have names/tax ids for:
Pgraph
IFE
Available Cupholders
Bearded Lamb
Kazillionare*
Leading Brands
Merlin-Works
Girls Girls Girls
Hoover's Blanket
Get Up
Mmmk
Sip of Chantico
Firth & Arjet
$10 Bourbon
Starter Kit
Perfect Season

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Michael

I predict 1 am will be too embarrassed to pick up their two dollar check.

I predict that once I pick up that 2 dollar one a.m. check I'll finally be able to pay Ratliff back for cleaning my kitchen. After all, his work was only worth 1 dollar (imagine that Tami and I split the 2 dollar check and that Ratliff was so terrible at cleaning my kitchen that I am only paying him one dollar).

I have the box office reciepts up to Wafflefest and distributed a bunch at the AIC meeting today. I have $806 remaining to distribute with payouts ranging from $5-$151. If you send along an address, I can mail it to you. If not - it'll have to be the next time I see you.

I currently have contact name or corporate entity / SNN or tax ID for the following with balances...but no address so I'll get it to you the next time I see you:

$10 Bourbon
Available Cupholders
Perfect Season
PGraph

I don't have any info for the following troupes with balances:

A Bride Soon
A Touch of Evil
BubuLubu
Costa Cyder
Curtis Needs a Ride
Gigglepants
I Snood Bear
Look Cookie
Massive
Midnight Society
Milleriski
One Too
Spawndoodalie
The Knuckleball Now
The Neighbors
Troy's Bucket
Vertigo Ramp

Be aware that some of these balances are coming up on a year old and have the potential of being reverted back to the AIC if they go unclaimed. If you have any questions about what information you need to provide in order to get payouts - just send me a PM or e-mail me at mpm167#gmail.com

Thanks,
Mike

A Bride Soon and I Snood Bear are the same thing.
We're trying to figure out how to handle it on our end.

A Touch of Evil = Improv for Evil subgroup. IfE should handle those funds.

Edited for updated amounts - 12/19/07

So I'v got a lot of great feedback recently that will allow me to pay out and mail checks easier moving forward. Thank you everyone for helping.

There is still $436.54 outstanding to be paid.

I have contacts/Tax IDs for the following troupes, but need to physically get the checks to them (either in person or if they send me their mailing address:
$10 Bourbon (Erin Molson)

The following have made contact with me but I don't have tax IDs for:
A Bride Soon / I Snood Bear
Look Cookie
Midnight Society

And the rest have seen no interest, in some cases as long as a year:
Massive
Milleriski
One Too
Spawndoodlie
The Knuckleball Now
Troy's Bucket

If you are in one of these troupes, please contact me. Thanks!

Spawndoodalie and Milleriski were variations of Jen Cargill, Erin Plischke and Nat Miller. All of whom live in different cities now.
Troy's Bucket was Mac Antigua and Mike Garcia of Massive, (who are no lnger with Massive)
If you disrespect your character, or play it just for laughs, it will sell some gags, but it's all technique.

Mike Garcia performed with Massive last time, and he's still the one who answers my emails more often than not. so he's definitely still associated... though maybe living in LA? I can't remember.

And I'm pretty sure Nat Miller is still here, in grad school. In fact, his new troupe, made of grad school students debuts this week in the threefer... Venn Diaphram.
