Cheap Car
I have a red, 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse that I am looking to sell very cheap. It's got a lot of miles on it and a few problems here and there but for the most part it runs pretty good. I'm only looking to get $500 for this and I think Carmax will give me at least that. I'd be willing to let it go to someone here in the community for $400 if anyone is interested. PM me if you want the full disclosure on the issues it has.

for what it's worth, i find your bike riding refreshing.
i'd rather you spend the money on a tiny motor engine you could use while not pedaling and a whimsical scarf.

When I first came down to Austin, I immediately bought a bike.
I decided one sunny day (in August) to bike to campus. It was "just three miles" and I figured that it would be no problem.
Dehydration, heat exhaustion, possible heatstroke, hyperventilation, nearly passed out... ambulance ride, and hooked up to an I.V.
Did I mention that because the semester hadn't started, I was still, technically, uninsured?
That's right. $400 bike cost me $2000 in hospital and ambulance bills. (and this was before I heard about goodwill, thrift stores, or Craigslist, so I paid full retail.)
I would have given it another shot, but my bicycle seat got stolen I decided just to sell the bike for $50. They couldn't offer any more than that because it was missing a bicycle seat.
So I would not agree with the idea that bikeys are necessarily moneysavers.
