The fresh sweet potatoes are in the oven as I type . . .

Also, I'll be bringing some old fashioned candied yams w/ marshmallows.

The best of both worlds.

Feel free to bring a blanket for sitting on the grass or folding chairs if you have them.
I don't know what the weather will do today.

That was fun. Thanks for having a house to host it at, Shannon! Thanks for being an awesome host, Val!

It was weird how nervous I got when I went to present the award. All those improvising eyes on me! I almost peeked at the winner before even announcing who the nominees were. Screw you, homeless people.

Now, I'm bloated and full of community warmth. Yay.....zzzzzzz.

Who left a beautiful cobalt blue casserole dish at my place? Also, a slightly less beautiful dish holding some kind of chocolate-topped rice krispiesh thing? Why you so forgetful after I reminded you not to do that?

Someone slipped me some turkey. I don't remember eating any, but I'm completely drained. There must have been tryptophan in my non-turkey food.

One extra thing...you don't collect this stuff, we keep, because they are nice.
