I am now starting a chant.

Best Female!

Best Male!

Best Female!

Best Male!

To me these are the ones that people will remember the most down the years (along with best troupe) and, well, it just plain ol' makes sense to me...every awards ever has these as categories. Plus, we already had it last year. Erika May and Jeremy Lamb won.

I just sent my nominations in. woo.

I wouldn't be opposed to best male and best female improviser being included, either.

I don't know if he can vote, but I can assure you he was voted for, even before reading this.

Hi guys! In answer to some questions:

Yes, you can send in more nominees after your initial email. You can still only nominate up to three in each category, total.

However, it is so much easier for us to tally if all your nominations are in one email, so if you're still thinking about a few things, just wait until you've got your nominees to your satisfaction and send it in.

Second, since there is a general clamoring for best male and female, and no audible dissent, feel free to add those back to the nominees, and to send in a supplemental email if your vote was already cast.

Third, yes, you may nominate yourself or your troupe for any award, but i encourage you to think of this as a chance to recognize the other people you think are awesome.

much love!

We should start on January 1st of each year a thread dedicated to recording good show lines.

By the very transitory nature of our craft, this is always the hardest for me to nominate in.

though for my nomination this year there was one terrific line from erika may months ago where I thought to myself "by golly, that line's gonna win" and made it a point to remember
