Housewarming & Orftoberfest

Post by the_orf »

It's that time of year again: time to move into a new house and throw a party!

Okay, so Elana and I moved into the house a couple months ago, but we've been working on making it warmer. Now we want some help. So come to our housewarming party on the evening of Friday, October 19th!

As a special bonus, it will also be a celebration of Orftoberfest. Meaning there will be a special batch of Orftoberfest brew from Orf brewing.

As a double-special bonus, it will nearly be Elana's birthday, so we'll just pile that on to the celebration too.

There will be a supply of food and drink (mmm... Orftoberfest), but feel free to bring your own to augment ours if you like.

There will also be music spinning on the turntables and iPod wheel of Bob McNichol and Michael Jastroch. Dance and hop with funky joy!

And of course, there will be a BIG REVEAL.

The new Wakeman-Orf home is down in south Austin, near Ben White and Manchaca. The exact address is 5036 Lansing Drive.

Here's a link to the Evite for your viewing and informational pleasure. Apologies for not including everybody on these forums on the evite guest list.

Happy Orftoberfesting!
-Orf & Elana

p.s. We are aware that October 19th is also the night of the GGG 5-year anniversary show. We apologize for the conflict. If you're supporting the GGG party, good for you! Feel free to stop by afterwards.

I'm only coming if there is beer and bocce.

And Bob McNichol or Michael Jastroch on the music.

*BUMP*

We are confirmed with the Good Doctors Jastroch and McNichol on the tunes.

We are confirmed with delicious Orftoberfest brew, carbonated and cold.

We are confirmed with backyard bocce under the lights.

See you at the gathering on Friday night, be it pre-, during- or post-show(s).

I shall be out of town, but send my regards to the gulpy wonderment that is Orftoberfest...

I'm so sad, that I can't come to this because the 19th is the GGG 5th anniversary extravaganza. I was so excited too, after talking to you... but alas timing conflicts...

Oh well.

Have a fun party :)

The housewarming will be going well into the night, so anyone going to the GGG show should feel free to stop by afterwards, if you're not too tuckered out by then.

Also, for those who wish to stop by earlier, we will be playing a game of Mojo Kickball in the big field behind the house. Game time from 5:30-7:30 pm, roughly. Get your Mojo working for happy hour! Plenty of time to clean up and hit the GGG show after.

My vote is that it's either pregnancy or something to do with Orf Brewing.

Or the pregnancy caused by too much experimentation with Orf Brewing.

But, hopefully, not pregnancy while drinking beer made by Orf Brewing.
