Hi, I'm Erik. I've had the pleasure to join this little community through the still-unnamed troupe started by Wesley and Christina. A few things about me, in list form:
-I'm from Michigan
-I love pop music, particularly independent rock and roll (I refuse to say "indie rock") and soul
-My love for said music drives my dream to become a music journalist
-I moved to Austin because my girlfriend is going to grad school at UT
-I am currently unemployed, but looking
-My comedy heroes: Monty Python, Stella, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Christopher Walken, Conan O'Brien and the minds behind "Mystery Science Theater 3000"
-I usually hate online forums, but this one doesn't annoy me. Probably because it's not devoted to poorly worded debates about video games
-The day after Halloween 2003, the entire left side of my body went numb. I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a viral inflamation of the brain. I almost died and had to take an IV medication for a month, but what upset me the most was that I had to miss a Barenaked Ladies show
