Anyone know a lot about rental cars?

Anyone know a lot about rental cars?

Post by kbadr »

I was thinking about renting a minivan for Pgraph's Omaha road trip, but I can't find a rental car company that doesn't charge an outrageous fee if you want to leave TX, OK, NM or LA. Does anyone know of a rental car company that doesn't restrict where you can go?

You work your life away and what do they give?

Alamo used to have unlimited miles, not sure if they still do. But why mention your going out of state? You live in Texas! you could drive ridiculous distances and still claim it was in state.

certain rental companies are beginning to use GPS trackers, I think? they will be soon, at least.

CTowne had several tries before finding that Budget has unlimited miles anywhere. I think it was budget.

Capps van rental will let you take it anywhere, but they don't have unlimited miles unless you rent for a certain number of days. Call 'em and ask, though. They might make you a deal.

Roy can use his IBM ties to rent a cheap rental car through Hertz and I'm pretty sure do whatever with it. But it's like way too late for that. Next time you have a traveling question give your traveling friend a shout. :)

Wow, you are talking about an upcoming trip, and not the previous one you just took...

Please ignore my previous "next time" comment... (catching up on two weeks of forums here, it can get confusing)
