Post by smerlin »

Did you know it's April? Wow!

And that means another month of the Improvised Scene Study starts tonight.

You get 12 hours of improv instruction for a mere $60--thats a mere $5 an hour.

If you haven't been in my class in a while or never have and want to try--come down to Casting Works LA at Penn Field tonight.

This past month we've worked on:
  • Laban system of movements
    Mantras
    Solo scenes and monologues
    Objectives
    Mr. Bean Scenes
    La Rhonde
Here's all the info:

Improvised Scene Study
At Casting Works LA , Penn Field
3601 S. Congress Ave. Suite C-105
To register, email Shana

# IMPROVISED SCENE STUDY: (Wednesdays 7-10pm) This class is perfect for people who have taken improv classes and want to continue their education. Every workshop will start with warmups and icebreakers. The rest of the time will be spent doing directed improvised scenes, often focusing on a topic that arises from the group. Get extra practice and feedback. Meet new people in the improv community. The classes are NOT cumulative--you can start at any time without missing important curriculum.

Pricing In a Month with 4 Wednesdays:

# Monthly Early-bird Rate: $50

# Monthly Standard Rate: $60

# Drop In: $20 per class

*Missed the first lesson? If you join "after" the first lesson, then each following lesson is $15 each.

**Monthly rates "expire" in the month for which they were purchased and are not carried forward.

I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to improve their scene work. Shana is a great teacher (as most of you know) and I feel like I have learned a lot and improved quite a bit as a direct result of this class. Sign up now or just drop in and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
