Tuesday Night Jam - 09/11/07

Post by Wesley »

Come on out to the Hideout Theater and have fun Tuesday night (9/11/07) with a free improv jam!

As usual, we'll be going from 7 to 10 in the upstairs classroom.

Once again, this is free and open to anybody, regardless of experience.

I am still deciding what I want to work on this week, but I think I want to try a bunch of stuff we rarely play in Austin. You can only play Bippity Bippity Bop so many weeks in a row. I want to bring some stuff out of the woodwork.

What do other people want to work on?

I might like to play Slide Show to see if I can't get more comfortable with it. Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment.

What about a three hour version of "Machine"?

Hey jammers,

There's an audition in the upstairs classroom so you guys are in the upstairs theater from 7-10. Please don't run the stage lights the whole time.

fantastic jam tonight, wes and dav and all the rest. Loved the different stuff we tried. Thanks.

Thanks it was a fun jam for me, too. I saw a lot of things to work on in the coming weeks. In fact, I'm thinking of filming parts of next weeks jam so that we can maybe do some jam advertising, but more importantly so that players can see themselves on stage. If you've not taped and watched yourself on stage before, it can be the single most eye-opening experience to your tics and habits and fallback characters that you'll ever have.

I've also looked over those exercises you sent me and I think I've made some sense out of them so I'll try to run them next week.
