Alright boys and girls, it is that time of the week again! Tomorrow is the Tuesday Night Jam.
As always, the jam is from 7-10 at the Hideout Theater and is free to all. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their experience level (we usually have at least one person who has never done any improv at all). Tel someone and bring a friend! Let's keep spreading the word of improv...
The jam is great for those just graduating classes or forming new troupes as it adds valuable training hours, exposure to new games and exercises, and connects you with other players in the community.
This week, I want to run some truth exercises, particularly in finding the truth of your characters. Who are they really? What do they really want? But also some exercises to find out your truths as well.
Before there can be self-expression, there must be a self to express.
I also want to run some games on story arc and escalation.
Who's in and what do you guys and gals want to work on?

That sounds great. I try to start out with distinct character traits and objectives but they eventually vanish during the scene and I end up playing myself.Wesley wrote:This week, I want to run some truth exercises, particularly in finding the truth of your characters. Also glad to hear we'll work on story arc stuff again. I get hung up on scenes that drone on and on without change or just the opposite, they change too often and don't make sense.
