Whirled News Tonight! Saturday Night!

Post by acrouch »

10:30 in the Downstairs Theatre.

The news is real.
Everything else is improvised.

The longest running improvised satire in Chicago is coming to Austin!

Whirled News Tonight is an exciting new form of political and social satire. Literally ripped from the day's headlines, this show creates a blend of satire, drama, and hilarious comedy that is brand-new each and every time it's performed.

This long-running Chicago hit begins April 1st, and is performed by some of Austin's best improvisational comedians each and every week!

Whirled News Tonight combines the smart, fresh satire of "The Daily Show" with the sketch fun of "Saturday Night Live" through a live, improvised theatre experience.

Thanks for posting this Andy!

We are very excited about the show and to have Jason Chin here to start us off at the top of the run.

I wanted to let AIC teams/troupes and their members know that they can see the show for free. Just see Phil in the box office (or email me) if you are interested.

AIC improvisers will be asked to remain outside the theatre until a few minutes before showtime and will be seated after paying audience is sat. You may be asked to give up your seat if a ticketed audience member shows and we are at capacity.

let me or jen know if you have questions.

strap in - we gonna have some fun, my yos!

I just read the Texan article and it was great. Way to go Erika.

I've never been in a show that got such a full write up before opening night.

You improvise every day.
Why not get good at it?
