This weekend, during Hideout appreciation, I reorganized the upstairs and downstairs light booths. If you are using the booth between now and OoB, I would like to ask a few things of you...
1. Please take all of your trash out with you at the end of the night. I will be putting a small trash can in each booth for you to use.
2. Please don't change the configuration of the booth or unnecessarily unplug things. If you do have to change something, please put it back the way you found it.
3. Give me some feedback on the setup. My goal was to make the upstairs easy and comfortable for a single person to use. Can you reach everything you need? Is everything clearly labeled? Can you think of anything we might be missing?

Last night I noticed few minor problems upstairs.
the tags on the lights aren't all correctly labeled. I believe blue was red and red wasn't anything.
there's only one channel coming out from the computer into the sound board.
It would be sweet if the soundboard had another free cable to plug ipods into that remained attached.
...also, not a booth problem, but the right side of the stage is much darker than the left side. Some lights could be refocused to eliminate the problem.

I don't think this is true. I hooked the second channel up last night. Before the show started, there was only 1 channel, because an adapter was snagged for the downstairs theater.TexasImprovMassacre wrote:there's only one channel coming out from the computer into the sound board.
You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live
Andy is going to buy more adapters so that everything, including an mp3 player, can be hooked up simultaneously. The OoB powers that be are going to be redoing all of the lighting (at least I think they are) so I didn't label all of the lights just yet since we'd have to do it all over again.

I'll take blame for that one. I was replacing gels on the lights that day and didn't mark it on the light board. Unfortunately, one of the lights is burned out, so we can only have red or blue because the rest of those lights belong to the full-stage wash lights. From all accounts, it seemed better to have a red instead of a blue, if we could only have one of them.TexasImprovMassacre wrote:Last night I noticed few minor problems upstairs.

Agreed. This would also prevent the occasional user error from a sound improviser unplugging the PC's connection.TexasImprovMassacre wrote:It would be sweet if the soundboard had another free cable to plug ipods into that remained attached.
Very true. It was kind of a problem for Maestro. I remember that there used to be a light that focused solely on the window. If we order more lamps, maybe we can replace the one wash that's really dark and get the old window light back.TexasImprovMassacre wrote:...also, not a booth problem, but the right side of the stage is much darker than the left side. yes, oob is going to be redoing the lights, but we need new bulbs for both spaces.
i had taken care of the stage left hole last week but either something burned out or somebody refocused them to funk up stage left. it should be easily temporarily fixed and i can swing by tomorrow to do that up.
another yes to needing more cables and adaptors.
