PLEASE SEND AVAILABILITY FOR HIDEOUT SHOWS IN MAY/JUNE

Post by Dave »

It's that time again!

Time to start thinking about scheduling shows at the Hideout for May and June.

Over the next week or so, please get with your respective troupes and reply back with some information concerning your troupe's availability for Thursdays and Fridays in May and June.

We will try to accommodate all teams who reply before Wednesday Apr 5 in time to release a May/June Schedule by April 15.

In case you forgot here are the available time slots, with corresponding dates.

THURSDAYS Available Thursdays: (5/4, 5/18, 5/25, 6/1) (5/11 and 6/8 are already reserved for Girls!Girls!Girls!)
8 pm--SHOWCASE-- One team with a 90 minute slot to program as they wish. (Their own 90 minute improv or sketch set or split the bill with another group, or whatever you fancy...) Team does a door split with the Hideout and provides their own box office person and lights/sound person and advertising
(Note—Beginning June 15th, The Thursday Show will be re-vamped as a Variety show featuring Live Music, Stand-up, Sketch, Improv Troupes and Short Films…more to come!)

FRIDAYS Available days (5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30)
8pm -- FRIDAY IMPROV THREEFER -- Three Teams each get 20-25 minutes to highlight their stuff. Each team will get 1/6 of the door with the other half going to the Hideout. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided, please make sure Intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.
10pm – AUSTIN STYLE IMPROV SHOW -- Two teams. One Style. Two 30-40 minute Sets. One Show. This schedule, we are asking assigned teams to contact the other troupe performing with you to match up styles. (Armando, Quest, Sketch, etc.).
If there is a certain form or style you'd like to perform let us know and we'll do our best to pair you up with a team that would like to do that too.
Teams each receive 1/4 of the door with the other half going to the Hideout. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided, please make sure Intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.
1130pm – AUSTIN CAGEMATCH -- Each week two teams face off in 22 minute shows each. The style and format is up to them. At the end of 22 minutes, the lights are called and at the end of the show the audience votes to decide who comes back the following Friday night to defend their title. Teams receive no split of the door with half going to the Hideout, the other half going into a separate account for the Austin Improv Co-op. Box Office and Tech/Lighting are provided; please make sure all intro music is given to the assigned Booth Technician.

When you reply, please include the following information:

1. Name of Troupe
2. Your Main Contact's Name/ Phone number/ E-mail address
3. Which time slots/shows are your team’s preferences.
and
4. Which dates your troupe will be available perform/host.
5. How many shows you would ideally like.

for example:
Team Awesome is available 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 and 4/14.
We can host any of those dates too.
We like the Three-fer slots, but would like to do a "Narrative-Musical Show with Team Bitchin'.
We only want one show a month.
Team Awesome would also like to enter the CageMatch under the name Kick Ass.
You can contact Joe Improviser at joe@awesome.com regarding Team Awesome and Kick Ass.

Even if you have already sent us word indicating your teams interest in playing, please send a new e-mail with the above availability information.

Thanks in advance for your prompt response,
