One other thing I can think of... the dry erase board in the upstairs greenroom is in need of replacement or some type of insane cleaning. I know Roy's tried several different methods of cleaning things like "Happy O-Zone Day (again)" message, but they haven't worked. I tried everything from whiteboard spray cleaner to used dryer sheets to aerosol-based deodorant and nothing has worked.
I caulked the tank tonight. The water reservior tank was cracked in 2 places that I could see. Hopefuly the patch job will hold. I'd let the caulk dry for about a week, then try to fill the tank on Friday. I'm also on the lookout for a replacement toilet from a few recovery shops. If the patch doesn't hold I can always replace the toilet.acrouch wrote: The tank is cracked. Which means we either repair the tank, replace the tank, replace the toilet (in order of increasing expense). Mike Kinald swears he can caulk it, so I'm gonna beg him to take a crack at that and see what happens. Sorry it's taken so long to get around to, but dealing with toilets is maybe one of my least favorite things of all time.
the 9th, thursday. yes, I'm in. we should set this up offline.beardedlamb wrote:works for me. anyone else?acrouch wrote:I'm out of town August 3-8. Maybe the 9th?beardedlamb wrote:how is everyone for tuesday, august 7th from 7-8?

you could do it a number of ways as long as they touch the floor. i would attach them to the floor and ceiling and make them semi-perm. they would still be very easy to remove with a drill. i am happy to help with this if you decide to go this route. PM me if you have other questions.acrouch wrote:Hmm. I like this idea. What exactly would building a flat entail? Would we hang them from the ceiling?improvstitute wrote:Any consideration to building flats to cover up-center and up-right and then just having a curtain for up-left? Would be cheaper, more durable, easy to take down and put up...

RE: toilet
In case the caulk doesn't hold up, a cheap replacement toilet could probably be found at the Austin Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. Along with a metric tonne of neat building supplies.

Something interesting: I have cleaned up whiteboards by going over dried on marker with marker. Does an amazing job.bradisntclever wrote:One other thing I can think of... the dry erase board in the upstairs greenroom is in need of replacement or some type of insane cleaning. Also, remember that you are gonna have a bunch of poets in the Hideout from Tuesday to Thursday at 7PM and 9PM, as well as doing workshops all week. The hideout seems to be heavily utilized both upstairs and down (including the greenroom/classroom). Here's the workshop/event schedule:

Is it ok if I just show up when I can that weekend. I love OoB and the Hideout and would like to help.
