Bearded Lamb Rides (Teaches) Again
In July, I'm going to be offering a direct feedback workshop in the timeslot where Asaf usually does his Diagnostics class. It is quite non-coincidentally a drop-in, pay-what-you-want direct feedback class about scenework. We won't just be doing scenes, but also games and exercises to help strengthen the scene by improving CROW, listening, failure with grace, and comittment.
It will be every Wednesday in July from 7-9. I don't know where yet.
I'll come back with that info soon.
here's my bio for those of you who don't know me:
Jeremy Lamb is a native Austinite who has been performing comedy for nearly ten years at various venues around town. He graduated from UT with a film degree in 2002 and currently books and performs improv with the nationally touring ensemble Available Cupholders. He has also toured as Bearded Lamb, a solo improv act, winning many awards for his efforts along the way. He owns ATX Entertainment, a booking agency focusing on comedy in the college market. He has produced and released a solo album, directed and starred in a full-length feature sketch comedy film, stars in the forthcoming Back pack Picnic online sketch series, wrote and starred in his own tv pilot still in post production, and is a member of the Applied Improv Network. Jeremy also founded and Co-Executive Produces Austin's Out of Bounds Improv Festival and Miniature Golf Tournament now in its sixth year. He may be best known locally for his work directing and performing with nouveau Austin improv legends, Well Hung Jury, 1998-2003.
He has just returned to Austin after a brief stint doing some learning and networking in Chicago's comedy community where he trained with Second City and folks from Improv Olympic. He has taught improv in nearly half the United States and been a staff teacher with the Heroes of Comedy School. He also coaches ensembles and has worked recently with Pgraph, You Me & Greg, Look Cookie, Bubu Lubu, Hoover's Blanket, and You're Fat.

Indeed, it was very good stuff from Lamb, as usual.

Like Buckman, Lamb really knows funny. And direct feedback from someone who you can tell cares is really the best kinda feedback.
Use this man and his talents!

Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

SUCCESS II
this was a lot of fun and i think people came away with some good stuff. unfortunately i cannot do this coming wednesday as i have to go out of town all of a sudden. Asaf is going to return to doing his drop-in classes on wednesdays starting in August. I anticipate there will be more chances for me to teach when Asaf is out of town and of course we'll keep everyone posted on that.
