Tuesday Night Jam - 07/17/07
I'm really looking forward to returning to the jam this week and I hope there's a big turn-out!
Has a theme already been determined, because I have a lot of ideas I want to bring and try out.

The theme for Tuesday is Listening and Responding.
Specifically:
* paying attention to your partner to inspire and inform your character
* taking time to process what is said to you and respond truthfully
* specificity in responses
* responding physically rather than verbally.
* figuring out your scene partner's intentions.
... and much much more?
I know Kareem is working on a list of games and excercises (some of them are rather obvious). I'll be in Houston picking up Kaci from the airport.
Have fun!

Thanks for a great jam. It was fun to return and there were a lot of nice people and new faces. There were nearly 30 of us at the end and during the first few hours we had enough people (about 20) to split into 2 groups (Kareem taking one and Chrsitina and I the other) and work on different exercises which was a lot of fun.
The mock show at the end was a lot of fun, there were several audience members, and I think everyone had a reallyg good time. I am really looking forward to next week!
There were several people who had no improv exerpience at all and a LOT of people from classes, both Hideout, ColdTowne, and the State. Several people asked about classes and shows afterwards, so that's good.

Did any of the guys from the Fast-Forward ColdTowne Intensive show up? I know a few were throwing around the idea and I encouraged them to do so, though I was unable to attend.Wesley wrote:There were several people who had no improv exerpience at all and a LOT of people from classes, both Hideout, ColdTowne, and the State. It's great. This has been happening every week! People brand new to improv, people in classes showing up. I love it.Wesley wrote:There were several people who had no improv exerpience at all and a LOT of people from classes, both Hideout, ColdTowne, and the State. Yep. Jason showed up, and he brought his mom (a semi-common theme for the jam)bradisntclever wrote:Did any of the guys from the Fast-Forward ColdTowne Intensive show up? I know a few were throwing around the idea and I encouraged them to do so, though I was unable to attend.
You work your life away and what do they give?
